The computers used to test this are HP dc5750 small form factor desktops, Windows XP SP3. These results are consistent and repeatable. With Reader 9.x, all of the selected documents would print rather quickly and then the reader window could be closed. If more than one PDF document is selected then right click>Print, no documents are printed after the first one FINALLY does print, even after closing the reader window. When right click>Print a PDF document that way, it may or may not print after a very long wait, possibly 10 minutes or longer. And I should mention that it takes minutes before the Reader window opens and prints.Įven worse in Reader X is using the context menu's Print function from Windows Explorer.
With Reader X, each attached PDF document that is sent to Quick Print after the first one won't print until the reader window is closed, then the next one prints, close the window and another one prints, and so on and so on. When done, the reader windows can be closed.
I'll clarify: With Reader 9.x we could right-click>Quick Print more than one document, the subsequent one are selected to print before the first one has yet printed.
